Meydenbauer Center, Bellevue Washington’s full-service convention center, announced new hires and promotions.

 

Jennifer Bergstrom joins the Bellevue Convention Sales Group as Convention Sales Manager targeting the Government and State Association markets. Ms. Bergstrom has been part of the Bellevue hospitality industry for over ten years.

 

She spent nine years with Hilton Bellevue (now Sheraton) holding positions in both the operations and sales sides of the business. Ms. Bergstrom spent the past year as part of the Westin Bellevue’s pre-opening team prior to joining the Bellevue Convention Sales Group.

 

Sandra Cook has been promoted to the Bellevue Convention Sales Group as Convention Sales Manager targeting the corporate and national association markets. Sandra’s experience includes nearly a year as Meydenbauer Center’s Business Development Manager and prior to that, nine years in hospitality sales with position as Director of Catering Sales at the Sheraton Bellevue Hotel and three years as Director of Sales and Marketing with the Red Lion SeaTac.

 

Prior to moving to the Seattle area, Sandra was Regional Sales Manager for five resorts in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and was part of the opening team for Villa La Estancia, an upscale resort in Los Cabos. Sandra is an active member of a variety of industry organizations including MPI, WSAE and NACE.

 

Kelly Zilar has joined Meydenbauer Center as Business Development Manager. Ms. Zilar leads the Center’s sales effort on a local level, marketing Meydenbauer Center for events, meetings and banquets to local corporations, non-profit organizations, associations, event planners and other groups.

 

Each year, hundreds of local organizations and individuals use Meydenbauer Center for a range of activities, from annual meetings to fundraisers to luncheons and other events. Ms. Zilar was previously an Assistant Manager with Il Fornaio Restaurants in Denver and Seattle.

 

Stacey Wood joins Meydenbauer Center as Guest Services Manager. As a guest services manager, Ms. Wood is part of the team responsible for selling, planning and organizing banquets, special events and meetings at Meydenbauer Center.

 

Prior to joining Meydenbauer Center, Ms. Wood was Sales and Marketing Supervisor for Wizard International in Mukilteo, Washington where she was responsible for coordinating industry tradeshows and corporate events.

 

Stephanie Stevenson has been promoted to the position of Executive Meetings Manager at Meydenbauer Center. Ms. Stevenson has over six years of experience with Meydenbauer Center including recent positions as Guest Services Manager and Sales Coordinator.

 

As Executive Meetings Manager, Ms. Stevenson will work closely with planners of small meetings and single day events to streamline their meeting planning efforts and their ability to execute events on short time lines.
