Werner Dornscheidt, Chairman of Messe Dusseldorf, announced that Farias Global Expos has been selected as the official representative of Messe Dusseldorf in Mexico. Ms Patricia Farias Barlow is founder and president of Farias Global Expos.


Messe Dusseldorf is one of the world's leading international trade fair partners and providers of event-specific exhibitor and visitor services.  It was founded in 1947 and currently has a workforce of around 600, with consolidated sales for 2004 around EURO 369 Million.

 

Of the 40 global trade fairs presented at Messe Dusseldorf last year, 22 are rated Number One in their industry sector.  Approximately 29,500 exhibitors presented their products and services to 1.8 million visitors in 17 exhibition halls with a gross area of some 252,000 m².


Farias Global Expos joins the international network supporting the Messe Dusseldorf group of companies, spanning 100 countries with 65 foreign representatives, 13 direct shareholdings and other subsidiaries. The group draws on a long time experience in organizing foreign trade fairs, with a track record of over 4,000 events staged worldwide.


Farias Barlow currently manages Farias Global Expos, based in
Mexico City.  Previously, she was president of Fapezal Comunicacion, Reed Exhibition Cos. (Mexico), Remex, and the Banamex Convention Center in Mexico City. She also served as Chairman of IAEM in 2000, the first non-US resident to fill that role.
