It's the holidays, but it's not just about serving up great parties for the Florida-based event planning company, ME Productions.

Employees of this international entertainment-focused company are coming together to provide food, gifts, and décor to help raise funds and awareness for various local charities.

This year, ME employees worked together to raise over 95 pounds of canned goods to donate to the annual Thanksgiving Day Food Drive sponsored by radio station 94.9 Zeta.

In addition, ME employees are again bringing in wrapped presents to donate to help brighten the holidays for children diagnosed with HIV and AIDS being treated at The Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center of South Florida, a facility of the North Broward Hospital District that helps families with special needs.

And, the company is also pleased to participate once more in this year's 31st Annual Cingular Wireless Winterfest Boat Parade. ME's creative team will provide décor for the showboat representing the North Broward Hospital District, Chris Everett Children's Hospital, which last year won for "Best Use of Lights for a Showboat.

"This year's theme is "Pirates in Paradise." The popular yearly Parade will take place December 16, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. "Throughout the year, the team at ME Productions works on many worthy causes for a variety of area non-profits groups," said Linda Hamburger, ME's Manager of Marketing Communications.

"The company's internal communication system is used to involve and promote employee participation." For more information on the Boat Parade visit the parade official web site at http://winterfestparade.com.
