The Meetings & Incentive Travel Show has announced a moved to London's Olympia Grand Hall and moved to a new slot in the calendar, October 8/9, 2003, after two years at ExCeL.

The move makes the M&IT Show the only London-based events industry show in the second half of the year and moves the show back to Central London.

Director Steve Lewis said: "This summer we undertook a major research project among visitors and exhibitors and even those buyers who did not attend this year's show to ensure we make the right decisions about the future development of the show.

"The response from buyers and exhibitors was overwhelming - they wanted the show to return to a Central London location and to move away from the busy period of trade shows ending in June. Agencies also wanted us to move the show away from the corporate hospitality season of Henley, Ascot and Wimbledon."

"We have responded to the market's wishes and moved the 2003 Meetings & Incentive Travel Show to Olympia's Grand Hall and moved the dates to October 8/9, the start of a prime decision-making period for organisers.

This will make The M&IT Show the only London-based events industry show in the second half of the year." "This will enable us to attract a bigger audience of buyers and event organisers to the show. Olympia has its own rail station and underground station and plenty of car parking and the venue has recently been completely refurbished and modernised."
