RSVP 08, Australia’s leading event dedicated to the corporate party and special events industry, returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on 14 and 15 May.

Not only is the MCEC the venue for the event but it will be putting itself on show, focusing on its reputation for staging premier corporate and special events and for its impeccable food and beverage service.

MCEC’s food and beverage manager Frank Burger will be at the MCEC stand and says, ‘We always source the highest quality seasonal produce from as close to Melbourne as possible, reducing our food miles and ensuring that the food we deliver is always of the highest quality.’

This year’s menu will include succulent slices of air dried Spanish-style ham from Daylesford; freshly baked ciabatta and olive rolls; a selection of Red Hill cheeses served with freshly baked casalinga sourdough and marinated Tarago River olives; followed by milk chocolate and berry trifle, served with freshly brewed coffee from Abbotsford boutique roastery, Veneziano.

‘We also source our wine from local Victorian vineyards,’ says Burger. ‘At the stand visitors will be able to sample tastings from Wanted Man vineyards in Heathcote, Central Victoria and from award winning Buller Wines, with a special focus on Buller’s Premium Fine Old Malmsley, a sherry style wine that best matches the ham.’

More than 6000 square metres of exhibition space will be bursting with over 200 of Australia’s leading experts in events, showcasing great ideas on innovative products and services, the best in dynamic entertainment and the latest food trends.
