Cruises Only, a subsidiary of Airtours, announced that it will launch a unique joint advertising program to promote the tropical paradise of Miami. For the first time, the company will unite with several entities, including the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Port of Miami and the Miami International Airport, as well as Miami's three largest cruise lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International.

Master-minded by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, sales agents at Cruises Only, the largest cruise agency in the world, will use their expertise to offer travelers significant savings on land and sea packages that combine 3, 4, 5, and 7 night cruises with some of the finest hotel properties in the Greater Miami area.

All packages will also include rental cars and sightseeing tours of Miami, with some offering additional amenities such as golf and meals. Package prices begin at $449 per person with low-priced air add-ons available from all major airports. ``The cruise vacation values we are seeing in the market have never been better!'' says John Bloodworth, President of the Cruise Division for Cruises Only.

``Clients planning to travel this fall or winter to the Caribbean will save hundreds of dollars.'' The advertising blitz will run 6 weeks beginning October 1st and will include newspaper advertising throughout the Eastern U.S., direct mail, magazines, and the Internet.

``This promotion capitalizes on two great assets that we have -- our world-class cruise industry and Greater Miami & the Beaches as one of the most popular overnight visitor destinations in the world,'' said William D. Talbert, III President & CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.

``Packaging a vacation in Miami is a natural complement to the cruise experience. What we are doing here is giving more value to the customer. Today, value is not just a bonus; it is what the customer is looking for.'' ``We have seen an increase in demand from our customers for quality, land packages in many port cities and Miami is no exception,'' says Don Walker, Vice-President of Advertising.

``Miami has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in recent years, with its popular South Beach area, top-rate restaurants, extensive shopping, golf courses, and world-famous pristine beaches. It makes a wonderful addition to a cruise vacation.'' One example of the special packages that will be offered, is a ``Cruise & Golf Adventure.

'' Vacationers can enjoy a six-night cruise tour package, including a four-night Caribbean cruise, two nights at the Doral Resort & Spa, where they can enjoy, among other features, two rounds of 18-hole golf, as well as a rental car with unlimited mileage.
