This year, Premium Travel welcomed over 130 luxury brands from global groups to independent units and visitors from the UK, Continental Europe, the Middle East, China, India, Russia and the USA.

Organised by Haymarket Exhibitions Ltd, in partnership with Ultratravel Ltd, Premium Travel 2006 saw an intense two days of pre-scheduled business meetings, welcoming the key influencers and buyers from around the world.

Research conducted on the show’s website revealed that 51% of attending buyers handled travel budgets in excess of £1m and 17% looked after budgets in excess of £500k.

54% of them also said that the amount of luxury travel products placed exceeded 60% of their total business.

Helen Arnold, Event Presenter for Haymarket, said: “The discerning customer who is looking for something special whether on business or leisure knows that the industry is now providing a more extensive portfolio of luxury products.”

“Premium Travel is now the event, which showcases these, whether a remote desert island escape, a unique incentive or the very latest 5star accommodation with comprehensive business facilities. Next year, we know that our exhibitors will continue to expand so that our buyers will find the very best products the world has to offer.”

Premium Travel also launched some new initiatives this year, including an increase in hosted buyer places and the release of Ground Floor Loggia Boxes for exhibitors, plus more networking opportunities with a private consumer party on the opening night.

Testimonials from the exhibitors and buyers acknowledged the show as being the primary meeting place in the UK for the leading suppliers and buyers of the world’s most prestigious luxury travel products and services

A number of buyers attending Premium Travel 2006 had the chance to experience breathtaking London views from the London Eye. From the luxury of their own private capsule with champagne and canapés they had an amazing 30 minute flight to see the best of London at sunset.

Premium Travel 2007 will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 15th and 16th May next year.

The event will, once again, make the best use of the venue’s private boxes and reception rooms allowing participating companies to have their own private space for one-to-one business appointments with the attending buyers.

The show will also feature traditional exhibition stands on the floor of the Royal Albert Hall.
