Leipzig's portal for conference and congress organisers has been overhauled and now offers a unique spectrum of services.

As one of the most modern trade fair and congress cities in Europe, Leipzig offers the perfect backdrop for all kinds of events.

 

Irrespective of whether the project in question is a conference, a large-scale event or a corporate function, anyone wishing to organise it in Leipzig will find all the corresponding information at the new-look website www.do-it-at-leipzig.de.

 

The website provides information on conference hotels, congress centres and event venues, together with the necessary service providers, such as agencies, PCOs, hostess and security services and transport options, all from a single source.

 

Based on the experiences of the respective service providers in their day-to-day contact with customers, the site boasts unique search functions.

 

The "Event Planner" allows you to specify certain parameters, such as the number of people attending according to seating options, the size of the exhibition space, the number of hotel rooms required and the location of the event.

 

The results list provides a range of suitable hotels or venues, prioritised according to the degree to which they match your criteria. The "Venue Search" allows you to search for potential venues according to the type of event being planned and/or the desired ambience, for instance.

 

In a comparison with the congress-specific websites of other German congress cities, do-it-at-leipzig.de displayed further advantages:

 

·         clear structure, distinguishing main and detail pages

·         no attempt to influence clients using advertising or pop-ups

·         results list adjusted to reflect the selected criteria

·         search pane and results list on a single page

·         detailed information on the respective locations with a variety of photographs

·         detailed search which users can adapt to meet requirements

The first version of do-it-at-leipzig.de was developed back in 2000. Originally conceived as a temporary solution, the service portal has been a resounding success. Under the combined direction of Leipziger Messe GmbH and Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH (LTM GmbH), the portal has been extended over the past few months.

 

It represents a key building block in the congress marketing strategy of do-it-at-leipzig.de, which has been planned to 2009 and in which 45 partners cooperate in a project-based capacity.

 

Another result is the "Meetings & Events in Leipzig" brochure which was published in early 2008 and presents the main features offered by Leipzig as a congress city under the slogan "Feel the spirit...".
