Event planners now have Sydney and NSW’s latest event products, services and facilities at their fingertips following the launch of the Sydney Convention and Visitor Bureau’s 2005 Sydney and New South Wales Event Planners Guide.

Recognised as the premier directory for NSW’s business events industry, the guide features 176 pages packed with information to assist anyone planning a corporate, association or government meeting in Australia’s most popular events state.

The 2005 Sydney and New South Wales Event Planners Guide is divided into handy reference sections covering topics such as accommodation with venues, venues with a difference, cruise companies and regional NSW conferencing.

In response to industry research, the 2005 guide boasts capacity tables for all listed venues as well as the latest maps and a detailed table of contents.

The guide also offers information on planning a meeting and pre- and post-conference touring options designed to ensure a successful event.

Now in its 35th year, the Sydney and New South Wales Event Planners Guide is produced annually by Sydney’s official business events body, the Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Launching the guide at AIME in Melbourne today, Bureau Managing Director Jon Hutchison said more than 8000 copies would be distributed domestically and overseas.

“Research conducted last year showed that 89 per cent of users rated the quality of information in the guide as good or excellent, with more than two-thirds using the directory for new event ideas, planning and research.

“This year’s edition is packed with information on the latest products, and has been designed to be even more user-friendly. Planning an event in NSW has never been easier.”
