Congratulations to the new President of the TAAI - Mr. Jehangir N. Katgara in the glorious Golden Jubilee year. 50 years ago, his father, the late Nariman Katgara was the first, founder President of TAAI. It is only fitting that on TAAI’s Golden Jubilee, his son does him proud. Over the past 27 years, Jeh or JNK, as he is affectionately referred to, has led TCI from strength to strength. Some of the highlights of his career include the launch of the Canada office in 1979, the expansion of the TCI network to 15 offices today & the pioneering of inbound tourist air charters to Goa. He was appointed Executive Director of TCI in October 1981 and since 1997 has been a Working Director on the Board of Directors of TCI. Along with his vast experience in the travel industry, dynamic vision and leadership qualities, Jehangir's candour & forthrightness will certainly be a refreshing change welcomed by the members of TAAI who expressed their support in the spontaneous applaud after his inaugural address on 24th Sept 2001.
