ITMA Forum To Focus On Corporate Approach To Human Capital

The Incentive Travel and Meetings Association’s (ITMA) third annual Forum will explore the ways in which successful companies are integrating their internal communications, educational and motivational programmes – and how events can facilitate this integration.

Said ITMA Executive Director Charles Robinson: “Corporate conferences and motivational events have traditionally been the province of sales and marketing departments. But as organisations increasingly focus on their human capital, internal communications and HR professionals are taking a more active role in conveying vision and values, and at the same time fostering goodwill within the workforce.”

Taking place on 24 November at the English Heritage Lecture Theatre in London’s Savile Row, The ITMA Forum on Recognising the Value of Human Capital is expected to attract corporate attendees as well as senior representatives from agency and supplier companies.

Added Robinson: “Delegates from corporate organisations who are looking to effect an internal culture change, or combine business messages with entertainment and education, will have the opportunity to hear how this has been successfully achieved in other industry sectors. At the same time, agencies and suppliers providing events services will hear how corporate motivation and communications strategy is being planned and implemented within client organisations.”

At the Forum, a panel of senior internal communications and HR leaders will share their approach to integrated employee communications, and consider ways in which providers of corporate events and motivational programmes can best serve their needs. Among other issues, the panel will examine how companies are using multiple communication channels to engage staff; where events fit into corporate motivation strategies; who is responsible for planning them and what future directions internal communications strategy is likely to take.
