Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) and Corporate Travel World’s (CTW) organizer, TTG, is planning to make the co-located 2005 show even greater by further drawing on the similarities of the two markets.

“Co-locating IT&CMA and CTW has definitely increased participation from exhibitors and buyers alike. As the organizer of premier events such as these, we are constantly looking at taking the two shows to the next stage. After studying the feedback received from our last event, we are pleased to announce the planned changes for IT&CMA and CTW 2005, which are aimed at enhancing the combined shows as a one-stop shop for BTMICE leading players all under one roof”, comments TTG Asia Media Managing Director, Mr. Darren Ng.

Pattaya has been confirmed as the show’s venue for the next two years and offers both appeal and infrastructure. Home to more than 20 golf courses, sandy beaches and a pulsating entertainment scene, this seaside gem is a perfect destination for conference and exhibition delegates to mix business with leisure. To leverage on this distinctive positioning, the marketing and programme strategy for IT&CMA and CTW 2005 has been aligned to take on this theme.

Other changes include:

  • The IT&CMA exhibition will be condensed into two days with the same number of pre-scheduled appointments, enabling buyers and sellers to maximise their time on the floor.
  • CTW conference delegates will be able to pack the pre-conference certification and workshop programmes and the conference programme all within three days and yet have time to visit the IT&CMA and CTW exhibition.  Themed "Inside the Fast Track", the programme will supply participants with the latest industry updates, new knowledge, skills certification and networking opportunities.
  • Addressing the gap in the market for industry certification in this region, IT&CMA and CTW will offer two different courses targeted at MICE professionals and Corporate Travel Managers.
  • The CTW Table-Top Exhibition will be a dedicated session for Corporate Travel Managers and corporate travel suppliers to meet and exchange business cards on Day 1, giving Corporate Travel Managers time to attend the conference as well as visit the IT&CMA and CTW exhibition over the next two days.
  • To provide business opportunities between MICE sellers and Corporate Travel Managers, pre-scheduled appointments will be made available to the latter through the Online Diary system for the first time.
  • The International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA) will be holding its ICCA CVB Workshop in conjunction with the event.  A panel of distinguished speakers from convention & visitors bureaus around the world will discuss valuable lessons on topics including successful sales, management, branding, marketing support and strategic alliances.
  • Moving into its 3rd year, the Asia-Pacific Future Leaders Forum, held in partnership with IMEX and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau will once again give university students in Thailand the rare opportunity to learn from travel industry veterans. The success of last year’s half-day forum has prompted organizers to schedule a full-day programme this year.
