International Confex has announced the launch of a ‘London Area’ to house many of the London venues exhibiting at the 2006 show.

 

International Confex event director Duncan Reid said: “We have launched the London Area in association with Visit London to make it easier for visitors looking to source a London venue. London is the most popular destination for event organisers and many visitors come to the show knowing that’s where they will be holding their next event.”

 

The London Area will be home to Visit London and a number of London venues including:

 

  • Alexandra Palace - celebrating the 70th anniversary of the first ever TV broadcast which came direct from the historic venue.
  • Bonnington Hotels - promoting their friendly and professional conference service and the refurbishment of their conference facilities.
  • Chelsea Football Club - promoting their flexible, cost effective meeting space.
  • London Racecourses - Kempton Park will be previewing its £18.8 million re-launch, Epsom Downs will be promoting its new ‘Success Guaranteed’ initiative, and Sandown Park will be promoting its use as the Media Centre during the EU Summit for Heads of State at Hampton Court Palace
  • Jolly Hotel St Ermin’s - promoting their Summer 24 hour rate.
  • London Eastside - promoting the latest edition of the award winning Essential Venue Guide featuring more than 60 unique venues and a free prize draw to win overnight accommodation (including breakfast) for two people at the Hilton London Docklands and a rejuvination session at The Energy Clinic.
  • Earls Court & Olympia London - promoting the premiere of the EC&O Corporate video and The Brewery in EC1, which was acquired by EC&O in 2005. Visitors also have the opportunity to win a VIP London weekend package for two.
  • Delaware North Companies (UK) – exhibiting for the first time to showcase the magnificent event and corporate entertainment facilities at the new Emirates Stadium - opening in May 2006.
  • Royal Garden Hotel - unveiling their new exhibition stand - designed to portray the hotel’s contemporary and luxurious lobby along with the glorious panoramic views of Hyde Park and the London skyline. The hotel is offering visitors lunch for £15.00 at The Tenth, including a glass of wine, until 28th February.
  • Tottenham Hotspur FC - promoting its unforgettable conference and event experience.
  • Visit London - hosting 60 US and UK buyers on a fam trip to showcase the capital. In addition, a showcase of Visit London’s new online restaurant and attractions booking service at visitlondon.com and a prize draw, with prizes including meals in top London restaurants and hotel breaks in the capital;
  • Wembley Stadium - showcasing its world-class range of new Conference and Banqueting facilities. Visitors can win a unique pewter model of Wembley Stadium in a business card draw.
