International Confex, the event organisers' show, is to appoint a new event director following the departure of Jessica Blue. Jessica Blue will be leaving CMPi in April - after eight years with the company and having contributed to six International Confex events. Ben Greenish, group director of the Travel, Conferences and Meetings Group at CMPi said "International Confex 2005 was a very successful event and Jessica has left the show in a strong position. During her time at CMPi Jessica has been involved in six Confex events so, understandably, she is keen to pursue a fresh challenge. I am sure everyone will join me in wishing her well for the future. We are currently interviewing both internal and external candidates for the position and will be appointing a new event director in due course." Jessica Blue will be leaving CMPi at the end of April to join Advanstar Communications in the role of event director for their European events' portfolio.
