International Destinations, Inc. (IDI) has been selected to be the North American sales and service office for the Johannesburg Convention Bureau.

Joburg's status as a Conference Hub grows daily....the Pan African Parliament will convene twice a year for the next 5 years in Johannesburg. Joburg has successfully hosted the Rugby and Cricket World Cups, and the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development. In 2005 Johannesburg will host the Holidaymakers Expo and the Moscow Circus as well as the International Congress of Pediatrics with 10,000 pediatricians from 130 countries. Then in 2010 the Soccer World Cup.

We help organizers who bid for events by securing a venue according to our client's specifications for the event. Johannesburg has the edge over other South African destinations as it is the business and financial hub of the country, has several venues/convention centers to choose from and has a good record of hosting major events."

The Convention Bureau is currently working on more than 20 leads for major international conferences that have shown an interest to host their future events in Johannesburg.
