ICCA Breaks Records At IMEX 2007

Home

IMEX 2007 was the platform for a record number of ICCA promotions and events involving over 2,000 members and clients; more than ever before.

ICCA took the lead with IMEX in organising the highly successful Association Day Programme and Association Networking Evening.

With record enquiries from prospective new member companies, great feedback from ICCA members with regard to the quality and quantity of clients at the show, and tremendous interest in sponsorship and participation in this year's ICCA Congress in Thailand, IMEX 2007 was an undoubted success.

Especially the 2006 ICCA country and city ranking, which was presented right before IMEX generated a lot of media attention on the ICCA stand.

ICCA CEO Martin Sirk says: "There was virtually no time to relax during the three days on the ICCA stand despite having brought the biggest staff team ever to Frankfurt.  Not only was it exceptionally busy, but the quality of participants was extremely high, both in terms of industry suppliers and clients. Feedback from our members has been almost universally positive, and since these industry leaders cover all meetings sectors and all regions of the world we have to conclude that IMEX continues to deliver a tremendous, globally relevant event. We're already starting work on an even more ambitious programme for 2008!"

ICCA also sends it's congratulations to members who were recognised by IMEX for their tremendous contributions towards the success of our industry: Roger Tondeur was recognised by JMIC with this year's Unity Award, and regional IMEX Academy inductees included Gary Grimmer for Asia Pacific, Ana Maria Viscasillas from Puerto Rico Convention Bureau for the Americas, and Gillian Taylor from Abu Dhabi Tourist Authority for Africa/Middle East.

ICCA will be present at IMEX 2008 which will take place from 22-24 April 2008 in Messe Frankfurt, Germany.
