Six Continents Hotels today announced that its Holiday Inn Wall Street District hotel has reopened for business. The hotel, located at 15 Gold Street, had been closed since Sept. 11 due to a loss of power resulting from last week's terrorist attacks in New York City.

The 17-story, 138-room hotel, which is located within six blocks of the former site of World Trade Center tower, did not sustain any damage as a result of the attacks. The hotel is completely operational and is offering all of its standard amenities and services.

Subway service is available to within two blocks of the hotel, and cab service is expected to resume by Sept. 21. The Holiday Inn Wall Street District is again fully operational, said John Sweetwood, president, The Americas, Six Continents Hotels. The staff is excited about welcoming guests back to the hotel.

As one of New York City's most technologically advanced hotels, the Holiday Inn Wall Street District hotel is hosting companies that have relocated during this national emergency and are in need of T1 internet connectivity, computers and direct dial phones. For reservations, call the hotel direct at 212-232-7700 or call 1-800-HOLIDAY.
