Publi Créations, Monaco leading company in congress management and Partner of the international AIM Group, has organized the first Biennale, taking place at Grimaldi Forum of Monte-Carlo, with the participation of a thousand delegates.

The conference was held under the patronage of the Principality of Monaco and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in association with the French Society of Sports Medicine (SFMS), the Italian Federation of Sports Medicine (FMSI) and the Monegasque Institute of Sports Medicine.

It gave the opportunity to clinicians, sportsmen, sociologists, journalists and politicians to develop a high level debate about sport, physical activity and health.

The importance of physical activity in the prevention and treatment of some pathologies (e.g. obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, hypertension, mental disorders, endocrine disorders, etc.) was the main point of focus during the various symposia and workshops.

The social value of the fight against physical inactivity has been discussed during a lively round table.

The interesting experience of “Formula Benessere Ferrari” has been presented to the delegates during the conference: a programme managed by the famous Maranello’s company in cooperation with the clinicians of Med-ex, supported by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee).

The initiative, addressed to the employees and to their children, includes specialist examinations, medical information and prophylaxis, annual check up and fitness, sporting orientation.

The delegates of the Biennale have been honoured by the participation of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, who has given the welcome speech during the Opening Ceremony of the conference.

The success and the international prestige of this first conference show the great interest in this project and in its future: the next meeting has been already scheduled for November 2009.
