The Grazer Congress has recently won the Special Prize of the Jury at the International Grand Prix for Tourism Marketing 2005 for its latest direct mail campaign.  This award-winning flip book of Convention Center Graz was produced on the occasion of the centre’s 25th anniversary and was sent as a direct mail to clients and potential customers of the convention centre.

Presented as a two-piece production in a neat slipcase, one flip book comes as a one-minute-book-sculpture conceived by the well-known artist Erwin Wurm with the center’s historic Beethovenfoyer as the backdrop, while the second flip book displays the halls and meeting rooms of Grazer Congress and introduces the centre’s team.

The flip book is a direct continuation of Grazer Congress’ communication strategy of positioning itself as a historic conference centre with innovative services and creative solutions.

The print advertising campaign of Grazer Congress was recently nominated for the Print Oscars 2005 by the Austrian Newspaper Association VÖZ. Out of nearly 400 entries, the campaign of Grazer Congress was among the “best seven” in the category customer services, with only 42 nominees in total for this prestigious “Print Campaign of the Year” award.

The print advertising campaign of Grazer Congress is an exclusive series of One-Minute-Sculptures by Erwin Wurm – the shooting star of the modern art world – photographed in the halls and rooms of Convention Center Graz and contrasting the Old with the Modern.
