Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) and ADTA (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority) have announced a change of dates for GIBTM (Gulf Incentive Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition) which will now take place in Abu Dhabi from 13-15 March 2007.

The new state of the art Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre remains the venue.

The date change will assist Abu Dhabi in hosting a major United Nations Organisation (UN) conference during the period when GIBTM was originally due to take place.

“The subject of the UN conference is consistent with Reed Elsevier’s formal commitment to the United Nations Global Compact. We are working to help Abu Dhabi achieve its ambitious goals not only in hosting this important conference but in a wider partnership within the meeting and incentive industry”, states Paul Kennedy MBE, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions.

The inaugural event is set to showcase international meetings and incentive suppliers from national tourist organisations, destinations including convention bureau, hotels and hotel groups, destination management companies and specialist service providers representing the Gulf region, South and South East Asia, Europe, North Africa and beyond.

Joining them will be a global visitor audience including hundreds of fully hosted high quality buyers from regions such as Europe, Africa, Asia, the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle East region.

Already supported by international associations such as ICCA, MPI, SITE and PATA, GIBTM is also supported by the Abu Dhabi Tourist Authority, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company Centre - ADNEC, Etihad Airways – the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and the local hotel business community who will be accommodating Hosted Buyers, visitors and exhibitors during the event.
