The GCB German Convention Bureau e.V. is attractive for service providers of the German meetings and conventions industry: In the period from September 2005 to January 2006 three hotels and one convention centre decided to join the marketing organisation.

Since 1 January 2006 Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg presents itself international meeting planners as a GCB member.

Founded in 1897, the luxury hotel provides five rooms for meetings in a traditional Hanseatic ambience and a conference suite on its fourth floor. The 156 rooms and suites of this traditional hotel exude a timeless laid-back elegance.

Several excellent - partly gourmet award-winning - restaurants and bars offer top-notch international cuisine to suit every taste. Thanks to its variety, Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten has an established position in all the international hotel rankings as one of the leading hotels of the world.

Frankfurt Marriott Hotel - Europe's highest hotel at 162 metres - has also been a GCB member since the beginning of this year.

In the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt Fair, it has 16 conference rooms, a 24-hour business centre, and one of the city's biggest ballrooms with space for up to 1,000 guests. Espressivo Cafe & Bar, Tokyo sushi bar and the Champions and Arizona restaurants offer a wide variety of international cuisine. The spa area pampers business guests with a sauna, whirlpool and steam room.

Flemings Hotel Frankfurt-Neue Börse already joined the GCB before its opening in spring 2006.

With 16 meeting rooms and suites the hotel has a conference space of 1,300 square metres suitable both for small meetings with business partners and gala banquets for up to 600 people. The guests of the new hotel are lodged in 146 rooms and six suites. The hotel also has two restaurants with a delicatessen area and a wine bar.

And since 1 December 2005 a new convention centre has enjoyed the benefits of GCB membership: darmstadtium wissenschaft + kongresse, slated to open in December 2007.

The science and convention centre in the heart of Darmstadt will be one of Europe's cutting-edge venues. The large congress hall with a space of 1,200 square metres will seat up to 1,600 people, and 20 conference and seminar rooms of various sizes will offer space for small groups and meetings with up to 200 guests.

This will make darmstadtium wissenschaft + kongresse an ideal setting for conferences but also for presentations, seminars, receptions, annual general meetings, culture events and concerts.
