The future of the incentive and meetings and airline sectors will be the key subjects of discussion at this year’s Incentive, Conference and Business Travel Day at World Travel Market (Tuesday 12 November 2002, ExCeL, London).

 

“The Future of the Meetings and Incentive Sector – Challenges and Opportunities” is a major debate taking place on the Central Feature Area at 10.30.

 

Chaired by Peter Haigh, International Sales and Marketing Director UK, Accor, the distinguished panel includes Kip Horton, Director Sales Europe Middle East & Africa, Starwood Hotels and Resorts; Carolyn Dow, past president SITE and director Scottish Convention Bureau and Graham Frazer, Chairman Maritz Travel.

 

In the afternoon, a major seminar organised by Airline Business Magazine – The Future of the Airline Industry - will take place on the Central Feature Area at 14.00 Senior executives from the world’s major airlines and alliances including representatives from BA, Star Alliance, IATA and TUI will lead a discussion on how the sector has dealt with the aftermath of September 11 and the outlook for the future.

 

Additionally, research company IPK in association with World Tourism Organisation (WTO), Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and European Travel Commission (ETC) will be presenting their ‘World Travel Trend Platform 2002/2003.

 

And Connected International Meeting Professionals Association (CIMPA) will highlight marketing to American associations and corporations.
