Conferon Global Services (CGS), the world’s largest meeting management and event services company, announced the appointment of David C. Erich to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

 

Erich comes to CGS from British Airways PLC where he served as General Manager/Senior Vice President of U.K. Customer Service and Operations, based in London, England.

 

In this position, Erich was responsible for all aspects of the airline’s ground operations and up to 6,000 employees at London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport, and 12 other UK airports including Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.

 

Prior to that, Erich was Senior Vice President Customer Service, North America, for British Airways where he led a work force of 1,100 people at 25 airports and was responsible for all safety, security, property, and ground operations. He also directed the redevelopment of British Airways’ Terminal at JFK and 15 other Executive Club lounges in North America.

Currently a resident of Ridgefield, CT, Erich will be relocating with his family to Frederick, MD, in the near future.
