From the beginning of next year, the Finland Convention Bureau (FCB) will begin promoting Finland as a destination for incentive travel.

This has been the responsibility of the Finnish Tourist Board (FTB), while the FCB has focused entirely on promoting the meetings and congress market in Finland.

"Transferring incentive travel sector to the FCB clarifies the division of duties between these two organisations. The operations of the FCB now cover marketing to international associations and companies on an equal level," said Tuula Lindberg, FCB managing director.

"One of our first steps will be to undertake research into the current state of the corporate event sector in Finland."

Marketing efforts will be focused on key markets, including Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain, the Benelux countries and Italy. "We will work in close co-operation with FTB's overseas offices and transportation companies," Lindberg said.
