Expomedia Group has announced that it has entered into an agreement with India Exposition Mart Ltd in respect of a new multi-functional exhibition centre, India Expo Centre, currently in the final stages of construction in Greater Noida (New Delhi). The state-of-the-art, multifunctional venue totals 28,000m² of space, covering four main halls and service areas, is equipped with the latest technologies and is fully air conditioned. The venue will officially open in autumn 2005, although the first exhibitions, the Expomedia shows India International Interiors and India International Construction organised with partner dmg world media, were held there from 26 - 28 April 2005. Expomedia will lend its brand name to the venue and the full name will be India Expo Centre EXPO XXI. India Exposition Mart Ltd has also commenced construction on a second phase of the venue development, which will comprise an additional 14,000m² of exhibition space and has granted Expomedia first right of refusal for the management of this additional area. “The opening of this new venue will bring a major boost to the exhibitions, conference and events industry in India and will provide organisers and their clients with the very best facilities and services on offer,” says Mr Rakesh Kumar, Managing Director of India Exposition Mart Ltd.
