Added Value Administration Ltd (AVA) has been appointed to take on the day-to-day management of events industry trade association Eventia, with immediate effect. The move comes as a direct consequence of Eventia’s continued growth and the expansion of its activities since its formation in early 2006. Says Eventia Chairman Nigel Cooper: “AVA’s administrative capability will give the Association the structure and stability that it needs in order to continue serving its members’ needs. With offices in Westminster and North Yorkshire, AVA will provide us with a central London base and a team of staff who are both qualified and experienced in supporting organisations like ours”. In taking over Eventia’s administrative function, AVA will take care of all member enquiries and office services, and will provide database management and an accounts department, as well as support with website development and ad-hoc projects, under the continuing management of Executive Director Izania Downie. AVA was formed in 1996 to provide managerial, organisational, administrative and business development services, and at the same time links with client organisations to develop their memberships and grow their business. Its client list includes government agencies and organisations with national networks, including those in the not-for-profit, NGO and membership services sector. Says Izania Downie: “I’m delighted to be working with AVA’s Managing Director Alan Tallentire and his team, who will deliver a seamless service both to Eventia’s members and to the many other industry stakeholders who contact us on a daily basis. Having the administrative function managed so efficiently will enable me to focus exclusively on adding value to membership in the form of events, information and additional services.” Added Alan Tallentire: “We can offer Eventia an enthusiastic team of staff, all providing expertise in key areas of association management. Our approach is deliberately low-key; Eventia will have its own phone-lines and callers will only be aware that they are speaking to the Eventia team. Having our own very active in-house events department we understand many of the practical and commercial considerations affecting the Association’s member companies and the wider events industry, and AVA’s own membership of the Institute of Association Management demonstrates our total commitment to best practice.” |
