At the conclusion of Event ConneQion Gary Fitz-Roy, Managing Director of Expertise Events, Australia’s leading exhibition company and organiser of the show, said he was very pleased with the results this year with feedback indicating a better all-round event for exhibitors and visitors and some solid orders placed.

The show ran for the third successive year at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Wednesday and Thursday March 29 and 30.

“Event ConneQion was a show we started from scratch three years ago when we identified the rapidly growing sector of the market,” said Mr Fitz-Roy.

“Because it is such a huge market covering so many business sectors, it was probably inevitable that it has taken a couple of years to present the event in the way that is most effective for most industry sectors.

“The evidence from this year’s show is that we are now on the right track and that the fine tuning we introduced has produced a format that was acceptable to exhibitors and visiting delegates and buyers.

“The key to delegates must be that quality is more important than quantity and while the numbers were slightly ahead of last year, exhibitors have commented that the quality of their interest was much stronger and several have already reported good sales from the two days.

“Perhaps the one thing I take most satisfaction from was the general comment on the “buzz” that was so noticeable throughout both days which reflected an overall level of interest and enthusiasm. Also, we had worked hard on the expanded entertainment and seminar program and I was pleased that all sessions were very well attended,” said Mr Fitz-Roy.

Mr Fitz-Roy said that arrangements are already in progress for Event ConneQion in 2007.
