Following the successful launch of ETG Staging Connections China in early April 2006, Managing Director Gerard Yap has announced plans to expand the Company’s existing services with the launch of a Venue Services business model in the coming months.

The Venue Services model, which was developed by Staging Connections in 1991 and introduced into leading hotel properties in Australia has been so successful that today Staging Connections has offices in over 70 hotel and conference venues throughout Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and in China.

“I am excited about rolling out the Venue Services model in the Asian region. Hotel and convention centre management around the world increasingly demand enhanced brand reputation and an increased revenue stream from their partners and suppliers, as well as a practical, reliable solutions for meetings and events.”

“ETG Staging Connections will benefit from Staging Connections’ fifteen years of experience in Venue Services and together with the talented ETG Staging Connections team, I am looking forward to developing the Venue Services model for our local market,” Gerard said.

Yvonne Suberamanian who has worked with ETG Staging Connections Shanghai for over two years has announced her departure from the business to return to a more hands on event production role.

According to Yvonne, “whilst I have enjoyed the past two years as GM of ETG Shanghai immensely I feel that the time is now right to return to a more hands on creative event production role.”

Stepping into the role of General Manager Shanghai on a caretaker basis is Staging Connections’ Director of Operations – Asia, Michael Hewitt. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning over fifteen years in the production industry, working in such diverse fields as theatre, film, television and touring concerts.
