Australian destination management company Encore Business Tourism (ENCORE) has opened a sales and marketing office in the USA headed by Matthew Jones, recently appointed Director of Sales North America for the company. Matthew, a tourism marketing graduate from Melbourne, joined the team to establish a sales office in California. Matthew has been living in California for the past three years and was involved in group sales with the well know Australian wholesaler Jetabout Vacations based in Los Angeles. “This is an exciting move for me, and a great opportunity to grow the ENCORE brand across the incentive and meetings industry here, said Matthew. Australia and the South Pacific region are still dream destinations for many North American companies, and I’m looking forward to working with our current clients to develop opportunities and meeting new potential business partners.” ENCORE’s managing director, Paulette Crowder, announced the appointment in Sydney last week. “We are delighted to have Matthew on board and see the opening of a sales office in North America as a progressive step for us.
