EIBTM 2006 will once again be hosting the highly successful WorldWide Technology Watch (WWTW) competition as part of their 2006 technology programme, dedicated to discovering new technological innovations for the meetings and incentives industry.

The WorldWide Technology Watch is an exciting EIBTM initiative to identify the most innovative technology development or product breakthrough. This year Corbin Ball, CMP, Director, Corbin Ball Associates – Chairman, will again be chairing the awards:

"I am delighted to chair the EIBTM Worldwide Technology Watch for 2006. This award and the MPI Technology Village @ EIBTM recognise the impact of technology on the meetings and events industry. I expect that this year will again have many strong applications and it is an outstanding initiative for the industry.”

Last year, Vivien Virtual Event Designer (an advanced room diagramming software product) by Cast Software was voted as the overall winner of the EIBTM 2005 WorldWide Technology Watch competition due to its technical innovation. Litsa M. Rorris, Communications Manager, Cast Group Inc. – USA comments:

"We were delighted to win the EIBTM 2005 WorldWide Technology Watch. As part of our award, we received a free stand in the MPI Technology Village @ EIBTM. Our expectations for the show were high-but we surpassed them! We are now going to exhibit in 2006 and would encourage anyone with a new technology concept or product for the meetings industry to enter the 2006 WWTW and exhibit at the MPI Technology Village @ EIBTM!"

Judging criteria includes: innovation/uniqueness of the product, the impact of the product on the meetings industry and the completeness of the concept. To enter the WWTW awards or to find out more about the judging criteria, please visit www.eibtm.com/technology. The closing date for entries will be Friday 4th August 2006. Judging takes place on 5th September 2006 in London.

EIBTM 2006 will take place from 28-30th November 2006, at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
