There are just eight weeks to go before the closing date for entries to the annual EIBTM WorldWide Technology Watch (WWTW) competition.

 

Considered as one of the global platforms for technology innovations, the deadline for entries is Friday 4th August 2006. All entries can be submitted online at www.eibtm.com/wwtw.

 

For 2006 the judging will once again be Chaired by Corbin Ball, CMP, Corbin Ball Associates, assisted by:

 

  • Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA
  • Didier Scaillet, Director for European Operations, MPI
  • Paul Hussey, Managing Director, Olive 360
  • Charles Robinson, Director, Eventuality Solutions

Judging scores will be weighted by the following criteria:

 

40% Innovation/Uniqueness: Does the technology product or service provide a substantially new or different approach to solving a need or problem?

 

30% Impact to the Meetings Industry: Does the product or service have the potential for broad adoption by meeting professionals? Does it point the way for product development?

 

30% Completeness of the concept: Does the concept or existing product/service have a well reasoned business model? Is it complete? Has return on investment to the planner been detailed and/or analysed?

 

So far entries have been received from France, UK, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Canada and Belgium.  The winner will receive a free stand to exhibit at the MPI Technology Village @ EIBTM for 2006 in Barcelona. Judging will take place on 5th September 2006 in London.

 

EIBTM 2006 will take place from 28-30th November 2006, at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
