Mandy will continue to report to Paul Kennedy MBE, Group Exhibition Director of Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Meetings and Incentives Events and joins the senior team responsible for the development of this fast growing portfolio. Paul Kennedy says: “I am delighted to be able to make this announcement. Mandy is an outstanding member of our specialist meetings industry team and has been pivotal in the major growth of EIBTM and the many innovations in raising the impact of the event” Mandy joined EIBTM in 2000 as Marketing Executive with a strong background in marketing within the events, publishing and professional services sectors. In 2002 Mandy was promoted to Marketing Manager a role in which she took responsibility for implementing the “See you in Barcelona” marketing campaign, created to promote the event’s relocation from Geneva to Barcelona in 2004. She was also involved in delivering many new event initiatives including the industry’s first Association Programme and the now famous EIBTM Club Night. In September 2005 Mandy was appointed Event Manager, and became responsible for the day to day operational management of EIBTM. It was at this point that she also became an MPI member, serving on the Board of the MPI UK Chapter, professionally cementing her involvement in the meetings industry. In 2006 Mandy was presented with the prestigious MPI Chapter Leader of Tomorrow award. Mandy has a degree in Corporate Communications and a Diploma in Marketing as well as being a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. The Fira Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain will be home to EIBTM from 27th-29th November 2007.
