Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau this week announce the launch of their new conference guide.

The guide is being sent to over 1,500 contacts within the conference and events industry including event management companies, businesses and associations.

The guide which provides detailed information on the wide range of venues that Dundee and Angus has to offer also includes an overview of Dundee and Angus.

Karen Tocher, Business Tourism Manager at Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau, says, “The business tourism market is extremely competitive so it is important that we remove any barriers that might prevent an event organiser from selecting Dundee & Angus as their destination of choice.”

For ease of use, from the point of view of the event organiser, the venue information within the guide has been split into four sections; academic and purpose built conference venues, civic venues, hotel venues and unique venues.

Karen continues, “The organisation of the guide should make it simple for event organisers to quickly locate the most suitable venue for their meeting or event. Each entry within the guide has a summary table so that event organisers can see, at a glance, whether or not a venue will meet their requirements.”

“In addition, prior to looking for a venue, most event organisers will already have decided the type of venue that they would prefer; the style of the conference guide, with the venues arranged by type, should make it extremely straightforward for them to find the kind of venue they require.”

“As well as including detailed venue information the new conference guide also provides information relating to Dundee and Angus as a destination. This incorporates a brief historical overview and a summary of the destinations impressive academic achievements,” adds Karen.
