VisitBritain, the UK tourism marketing agency, is exhibiting at the AsiaPacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) to increase the £81 million that 65,000 Australian business visitors spend in Britain.

 

VisitBritain, Visit London and Thistle Hotels are joining forces in Melbourne on 6 and 7 June to promote the wide range of venues and exclusive experiences available in Britain for corporations and meeting planners.

 

VisitBritain will use the opportunity to showcase all that the country offers to 2,500 senior buyers. Information on the stand will encourage event attendees to make the most of dedicated staff based in VisitBritain’s Sydney and AsiaPacific offices who offer personal, impartial advice and a one-stop shop for buyers looking to discover the diversity of products available in Britain.

 

VisitBritain’s free multimedia kit for event planners is available on the stand, as well as copies of MeetBritain – the essential publication for the latest news for meetings and event planners. The kit includes a DVD on Britain and a CD-ROM with image library, information on how VisitBritain can assist the event planner and links through to dedicated web pages.

 

The stand will also showcase new facilities on VisitBritain’s business website.

 

Developments include a new ‘request for proposal system’, venue search facility with interactive map detailing nearby hotels and venues, a bi-monthly ‘what’s new’ section and an online version of the Britain DVD.
