Ogden IFC has announced the appointment of Mr Dean Hassall as Events and Operations Manager at Suncorp Stadium.

Mr Hassall brings to the Stadium 10 years of senior experience in event and venue management. He comes from Sport and Recreation Queensland where as Manager of Business Development he was responsible for identifying capital development and commercial management opportunities.

Prior to that, Mr Hassall was the Venue and Operations Manager for the 2001 Goodwill Games, the General Manager of ANZ Stadium for almost three years, and the General Manager of the Sleeman Centre for one year.

Mr Hassall’s role at Suncorp Stadium will include working with all hirers in the planning and successful delivery of their events. In addition, he will oversee the growing functions business at the Stadium.

Stadium Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Donaghy welcomed Mr Hassall’s appointment saying his hands-on experience in the delivery of some of the largest events held in Queensland would be an asset with 33 major events already confirmed for Suncorp Stadium in 2006.
