Crystal Palace hotel, owned by Dumitru Dragomir, will have a new conference room with a capacity of 120 persons, following an investment of 100,000 Euro.

The conference room will stand adjacent to the left wing of the hotel, which will be extended with a surface of 140 sqm, Bogdan Dragomir, general manager of Crystal palace said: “Most of our clients are corporations which also organize conferences or meetings with clients”, said Dragomir. “We already have two meeting rooms, 65 places each, covering 70 sqm each, but companies who rent rooms on our hotel say there should be more space for conferences”, he added.

There is no contractor for the conference hall, as Crystal Palace has its own team of builders. The hall’s construction will be finished in two months and it will be used starting this autumn.

Crystal Palace stands on a 2,500 sqm plot of land, out of which, 1,600 sqm are used as parking space. It has a built area of 6,000 sqm and a useable surface of 4,500 sqm. Standing five stories high, the hotel has 73 rooms, each with a 30 sqm surface, eight junior suites with two rooms, two luxury suites covering approximately 60 sqm each and a presidential suite, with a surface of 130 sqm.

According to Dragomir, the total investment for the construction of the hotel was approximately four million Euro, two times more than the original business plan foresaw. The layout of the building was designed by the same architect that draw the plans of the Parliament’s Palace.
