In 2005, Business Solutions, the corporate events division of Disneyland Resort Paris, recorded more than 128,000 room nights, while the Resort’s two convention centres hosted 1,150 conventions, congresses, seminars, exhibitions, product launches and gala dinner for 10 to 3,000 participants.

Of these 1,150 corporate events, 270 involved the partial or total privatisation of the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park for the evening.

Groups averaged 158 participants. France is still the number one market with 63% of the room nights, followed by the UK (20%) and Benelux (5%).

Thanks to its sophisticated infrastructure, Disneyland Resort Paris is ideal for large-scale events such as the SNCF convention presenting the new corporate logo and communications strategy to 850 delegates.

On the international front, the cosmetic and dietetic products manufacturer Perfect invited 1,500 of its sales force for the biggest event ever organised in Europe by a Chinese company. At the close of the year, France Télécom put on two private evenings in the two theme parks for more than 40,000 of its staff.

2005 saw a wealth of innovations, with a varied range of activities being added to the corporate entertainment offer. New themed parties include “Murder Party” and “Channel-hopping”, while “Space Mountain: Mission 2”, whisks the participants to the heart of Discoveryland for a voyage to the ends of the universe.

In spring 2005, a new 570-seat auditorium boasting the latest Imax technology was opened in the Gaumont Disney Village adding to the resort’s events venues.
