Home

This year, Business Solutions, the corporate events division of Disneyland® Resort Paris, recorded more than 128,600 room nights, while the Resort’s two convention centres (Disney’s Hotel New York®, Disney’s Newport Bay Club®) hosted 1,100 conventions, congresses, seminars, exhibitions, product launches and gala dinners for 10 to 3,500 participants.

Of these 1,100 corporate events, 200 involved the partial or total privatisation of the Disneyland® Park and/or Walt Disney Studios® Park for nocturnal events.

Groups averaged 173 participants. France is still the number one market with 59% of the room nights, followed by the UK (21%), Benelux (10%) and Germany (5%).

Spring 2006 saw the opening of a brand new 6,500 m2 (69,900 sq.ft.) events venue at the heart of the Resort. This new space is a major asset for Disneyland Resort Paris, adding to the array of facilities on offer to its corporate customers.

Regarding new themed evening events, highlights include “Save the Universe!”, launched to tie in with the opening of the new “Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast®*” attraction last spring in the Disneyland Park, and “Nex Game Arcade”, a virtual event in the world of video games with private hire of a 1,500 m2 space (16145,9 sq.ft.).

And finally, during 2006, Disneyland Resort Paris rolled out an exciting range of new team-building activities, such as a Speedboat racing on Lake Disney®, Buggy rallies, Rafting, and Ice karting in winter.

This year, Bouygues Telecom chose Disneyland Resort Paris to host its 10th birthday celebrations involving two nocturnal events each with 3,500 guests in the Disneyland Park which was partially privatised for the occasion, and a “Lounge” evening in the Pavilion® Disneyland.

Oracle brought together more than 1,200 sales representatives from Europe, the Middle East and Africa for its professional development-training seminar.

And another major event was IT Partners organised by Reed Expositions France, an exhibition and forum for IT distributors which brought together nearly 5,000 professionals over two days to network and develop their business relations, rounded off with an evening event in the Walt Disney Studios Park.
