Conferon Inc., the largest independent meeting planning company in the USA with headquarters in metropolitan Cleveland, has once again been honored as a “Weatherhead 100” company for 2002.

This marks the eleventh time that Conferon has been recognized out of the 15 times the award has been presented. In addition, Conferon gains the honor of being the company achieving this status more often than any of the firms receiving the award this year.

Conferon was also presented with a “Best Practice” award, recognizing their supplier relationships and how they manage and leverage those relationships to grow the business.

The Weatherhead award honors the 100 fastest-growing companies in northeast Ohio based on sales and employment growth over the previous five years. Conferon reported a sales growth of 110 percent from 1997 to 2001.

Employment increased 100 percent over the same period. Since its inception in 1987, the Weatherhead 100 showcases those companies who have made such economic impact on our community each year, and honors them at an annual awards dinner.
