Conferon Global Services, Inc (CGS), the US’s largest event management company, announced the resignation of Dave Lutz after 22 years of distinguished service.

Lutz will continue in his position as president of Conferon and ExpoExchange divisions of CGS until January 1, 2006.

Lutz is highly respected throughout the industry and has been an active leader, speaker and contributor to industry associations and publications. Lutz has made the personal decision to spend time with his family and to pursue educational and career options.

“Dave is an extraordinary talent and his legacy will be defined by the incredible strength of the company and leadership team that he is leaving behind,” said Bruce Harris, CGS president and Conferon founder.

“He is also a close friend and someone who I have relied upon since the day I hired him. While this is a loss for us, I am very excited for what the future holds for Dave.”

Lutz began his career with Conferon in 1984 as a meeting coordinator and was steadily promoted due to his intellect and deep understanding of the industry. At Conferon, he served as Vice President of Sales, Chief Operations Officer and President of Conferon before taking on the additional responsibilities of President of ExpoExchange in 2004.

Lutz also took an active role in the acquisitions that led to the formation of Conferon Global Services in 2003.

“Dave has done an excellent job as a key member of the CGS leadership team and has distinguished himself with his high ethics, loyalty, and depth of understanding of the business, and his sales and operational skills,” said Ed Shartar, CEO, Conferon Global Services. “He will be greatly missed.”
