CGS, Inc, the US’s largest independent meeting planning company, announced the addition of two more National Account Managers to the national sales team.

Chuck Berkhimer, CMP, joins the Central Region of CGS to cover the Northern Texas sales territory.

A Dallas resident and 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Berkhimer most recently served as the Regional Director of Group and Incentive Sales for Sol Melia Hotels in the US and Canada.

Prior to that, Berkhimer was Director of Sales for the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau for several years and also served as General Manager/CEO of Dallas-based Showtrans, which specialized in convention and tradeshow shuttle design and special event productions.

A member of the Advisory Committee for the Richland College Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management Degree Program, Berkhimer also belongs to MPI, PCMA, and the Society for Incentive Travel Executives.

Wendy Smith joins the Eastern Region of CGS to cover the state of Georgia.

With more than 13 years of hospitality industry experience, Smith most recently served as Director of Sales for the Wyndham Vinings Hotel, Atlanta. Prior to that, she held Director of Sales positions with the Residence Inn by Marriott, Atlanta, where she was awarded “Sales Team of the Year” for her efforts; with Hilton Hotels, where she earned the “President’s Award”; and with Homewood Suites, Jackson, MS. A graduate of Jackson State University, Smith currently resides in Kennesaw, GA.
