Conferon Inc., the US’s largest independent meeting planning company, announces the appointment of hotel industry veteran Jim Bennett as Regional Vice President to manage its Atlanta Regional Office effective November 3. Bennett moved to Conferon from Starwood Hotels where he managed the company’s Southeast National Sales Office for nearly five years. Prior to moving to Atlanta, he also spent seven years working for Starwood’s Northeast National Sales Office. Bennett began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels, working in sales for the New York Hilton & Towers and the McLean Hilton. “Jim is uniquely qualified to lead and grow our Southeast Region,” said Dave Lutz, President, Conferon, Inc. “Jim has impeccable management and leadership skills, is well respected in the market expanding the Southeastern United States, and also possesses the integrity and core values that are important cornerstones for our company. We're excited to have him as part of our Leadership Team.” A graduate of Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Bennett currently resides in Atlanta.
