Clarion Management Resources, Inc. has been selected by the Virginia Wineries Association (VWA) as the association’s new management effective July 1, 2005.

VWA promotes the growth and economic sustainability of the Virginia wine industry and sponsors key industry events including the Governor’s Cup Wine Competition and the Vintage Virginia Wine Festival.

Established in 1983, VWA directs state-wide industry efforts to obtain national recognition of the Commonwealth as a quality wine-producing region and supports national efforts to promote open competition and markets. VWA’s membership currently consists of over 70 Virginia wineries.

In announcing Clarion’s selection, founder and President Carole M. Rogin noted, “We are very enthused by this new client and service opportunity. VWA has identified regional and national strategic priorities for the coming year that include an expanded voice for both the organization and the industry, and I am confident that Clarion’s expertise in the design and implementation of industry marketing programs that drive sales will help VWA achieve its goals.”

She announced that Tina Wehmeir, Clarion’s Vice President of Marketing, will serve as VWA’s new Director of Marketing and guide the Association’s activities.
