The Convention Industry Council (CIC) will open nominations for potential 2007 Inductees into the Hall of Leaders on Friday, September 22, 2006.

Those selected by CIC’s Hall of Leaders Selection Committee will be inducted into the Hall at The 15th Hall of Leaders Gala.

This award recognizes and honors the leadership and innovation that impacts the entire meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry.

Each inductee will also be honored through the Hall of Leaders Recognition Pavilion located in the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, containing a short tribute video highlighting each honoree’s career.

The second Hall of Leaders Recognition Pavilion will be redesigned in Chicago, Illinois, in conjunction with the expansion of McCormick Place West in the Fall of 2007.

CIC member organizations, as well as the general industry community, are welcome to nominate any individual who has made substantial contributions to the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry.

The nominator must also demonstrate vision, innovation or significant leadership through a range of actions that have impacted and redefined meetings, conventions and exhibitions.

This nominee should also be an individual whose efforts continue to shape the industry. CIC is accepting nominations through November 3, 2006.
