As the first travel exhibition in China to support the Meetings and Incentive Industry, CIBTM (China International Business & Incentive Travel Exhibition) has won the award for “the most creative event” as a result of its “high quality” Hosted Buyer Programme. The CIBTM Hosted Buyer Programme was implemented as early as 2005 and with the evolution of the matching and appointment systems CIBTM 2007 hosted 262 top buyers from around the world and China. By successfully hosting buyers with a real purchasing power from associations, corporations and agencies, the show was able to gain recognition and acceptance throughout the industry. On receiving the award, the Vice president of Reed Exhibitions China, Gary Liu commented: “This award is in recognition of the efforts we’ve been putting into CIBTM since its launch. Postponed in 2008 due to the impact of the Olympic Games on Beijing, CIBTM will take place again in from 8-10 September at Beijing’s new state of the art China National Convention Centre (CNCC).
