With the redesign of Choicehotels.com, Choice Hotels International, introduces an electronic request for proposal (RFP) designed to streamline the planning and booking process for travel coordinators, conference organizers, meeting planners or individuals organizing a meeting or group event.

“Despite the changing times, Choice recognizes that people still want to meet face-to-face and meeting planners play a significant role in the process,” said Wayne Wielgus, Choice Hotels’ sr. vice president of marketing. “The development of Choice Hotels electronic RFP will allow our franchisees to capture a greater portion of the small to mid-size meetings market generated by meeting planners.”

The electronic RFP offers planners an opportunity to choose from any one of Choice Hotels’ Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, MainStay Suites, Econo Lodge or Rodeway Inn brand hotels around the world.

This one-stop-shop provides significant savings to the planners as individual rates are negotiated for each request. To complete the electronic RFP visit www.choicehotels.com, select Groups & Meetings, and submit the meeting room requirements information—date, time, function name, number of people, function set-up, room size and audio-visual requirements.

A summary of the RFP will be provided for review prior to the final submission. A Choice Hotels meeting services professional will respond within 24 hours to each electronic request and will prepare a written proposal defining the meeting requirements at no charge. A final contract will be sent directly from the hotel.
