Certain Software, Inc. has announced a merger with Amlink Technologies, creating the largest global supplier of technology solutions for the meetings and events management industry.

The merger will create a worldwide technology supplier for the meetings and events industry capable of delivering more functionality, additional choices for deployment, higher levels of security and in-depth product expertise.

With five offices, the newly merged company will operate under the Certain Software, Inc. umbrella. It will support a combined customer base of over 1,800 active customers in 50 countries and process over 6 million registrations in 2008.

The merger is subject to Amlink Technologies shareholder approval with an anticipated effective date of April 1, 2008.

Certain’s flagship solution, Certain Registration has a leadership position in high transaction volume online registration with secure payment processing as Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant, while Amlink’s events is the leader in large complex events and conferences with functionality and versatility to support a multiple array of meeting requirements and reporting needs.

Both companies share a similar customer base of Fortune 1000 corporations, meeting management companies, conference organizers, associations, universities, and government agencies.

Their combined solutions will offer customers an expansive range of functionality and choice of deployment options from Software as a Service (SaaS) to enterprise site licensing available anywhere in the world.

Certain’s Chairman and Founder, Douglas E. Goldman, M.D., will continue as Chairman of the Board for the combined company. The company will be led by Certain’s President & CEO, James A. Pappas. Trevor Gardiner, CEO of Amlink Technologies, will become Chief Operating Officer within Certain, responsible for the events products and current Amlink business units.
