Mr Gary Donnison will join the National Tourism Alliance (NTA) as its Chief Executive Officer on 1st July 2005.

 

 Gary will provide positive leadership for NTA and continue to develop the strong public profile for NTA and the tourism industry among members, stakeholders, Government Ministers and departments,” said Col Hughes, Chair of NTA.

 

Gary’s extensive experience with Federal and State Governments will add momentum and focus to NTA’s advocacy agenda.

 

Previous positions include government Senior Executive Service, the Australian Manufacturing Council, the Australian Printing Association and senior Ministerial advisor positions.

 

Gary’s understanding and contacts in Government on both sides of politics, will ensure our voice continues to be heard and industry issues developed and actioned.”

 

Gary commenced his working life as an engineer, after receiving a Bachelor of Engineering from Sydney University in 1975. He has also acquired an Honours Degree in Philosophy and Economics and a post -graduate Diploma of Industrial Law.

 

“I look forward to the NTA progressing under Gary’s guidance with its mission to unite the tourism industry and ensure growth and sustainability for all our segments”, said Col Hughes.
