The Events Industry Alliance (EIA) has formed a partnership with BSI to provide accommodation, meeting, conferences and events booking services to the Alliance’s in-house staff and 400 member companies.

EIA was created by three industry bodies - ESSA, AEO and AEV – to promote the live events industry and provide an association management secretariat service in the events industry.

BSI will deliver a transient accommodation booking service while ensuring members benefit from a much more streamlined process that will offer significant cost saving solutions. Members of the associations will be able to access BSI via BSIDirect, its user friendly, online self-booking tool, offering significantly discounted rates across a UK and international accommodation and venue database of over 85,000 properties.

Chris Skeith, ESSA Deputy Director and EIA Project Director, commented: “As our partner, BSI will help our members benefit from real economies of scale, access preferential rates for hotel rooms and venues, and should help our members reduce the resource time needed to make and manage bookings.”

Charles Cockell (pictured above), BSI Managing Director, added: “We look forward to working with members of the associations to delivering results in line with the Alliance’s high expectations and have already started working with them to secure the best possible venues and hotel space for the year ahead.”
