Longtime executives Brad Weaber, CMP, and David Peckinpaugh, CMP, have been named to new positions as part of a corporate restructuring at Conferon Global Services (CGS).

Weaber has been promoted to Executive Vice President of CGS' newly created Sales and Account Management group, which will combine all sales and account management resources into one organization focused on building and growing client relationships.

Formerly Senior Vice President for Conferon, Weaber has risen through the ranks since his start 16 years ago as Account Executive in the Washington, DC office. Weaber will serve in his new role out of the DC office.

Peckinpaugh will assume the newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer. The marketing organization will be responsible for industry relations, pricing strategy, strategic partnerships and marketing communications.

Peckinpaugh, who has been CGS' Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has been with the firm since 1998 and will remain in the Twinsburg, Ohio office.

A new Chief Operating Officer for CGS' Operations Organization is expected to be named in the near future and filling that position will round out the Executive Leadership Team for CGS.

"The changes in the organizational structure," noted CGS CEO Ed Shartar, "are an important step in our evolution to become even more customer-centric in our service delivery and reach our goal of being our clients' best partners. CGS remains committed to delivering distinct event experiences and innovative solutions, and to serving the industry as thought leader in the event marketplace."
